Automobile electric horn makes sound by the vibration of metal diaphragm. Automobile electric horn is composed of iron core, magnetic coil, contact, armature, diaphragm, etc.
When the driver presses the horn switch, the current passes through the coil through the contact, the coil generates magnetic force, absorbs the armature, forces the diaphragm to move, the armature moves to disconnect the contact, the current is interrupted, the magnetic force of the coil disappears, the diaphragm returns to its original position together with the armature under the action of its own elasticity and spring, the contact closing circuit is connected again, and the current flows through the coil through the contact to generate magnetic force, Repeat the above action.
In this way, the diaphragm vibrates repeatedly, so as to make sound. The resonance plate is rigidly connected with the diaphragm, which can make the vibration smooth and make the sound more pleasant (i.e. electromagnet principle).

(2) Frequently check and tighten the fixing screws of horn and bracket to ensure reliable grounding.
(3) The fixing method of horn has a great influence on its pronunciation. In order to make the sound of the horn normal, the horn cannot be rigidly installed, so it is fixed on the buffer support, that is, a leaf spring or rubber pad shall be installed between the horn and the fixed support.
(4) Check the generator output voltage frequently. If the voltage is too high, the horn contact will be burned. If the voltage is too low (lower than the rated voltage of the horn), the horn will make an abnormal sound.
(5) When washing the car, do not directly wash the horn with water to avoid water entering the horn and making the horn not sound.
(6) When repairing the horn, pay attention to the position of each metal pad and insulating pad, and do not install it wrong.
(7) The continuous sound of the horn shall not exceed 10s to avoid damaging the horn.
